The important things for a good SWEET 16 party is to have a smart location where parents can feel safe and secure in leaving their youngsters in good hands. At the Roffen we provide two different rooms perfect for parties. The rooms are both self contained and are easy for us to supervise. Our professional staff will be on hand to make sure everything goes with a swing to provide a smart, safe, adult-style, sophisticated party for young people.
"THE VENUE":
Ideal for up to 70 guests. Rochester's prime private nightclub with private bar and dance floor. "The Venue" is on two levels and furnished with leather armchairs.
For a 16th birthday party the advantages are that it is totally self contained, it has its own dance floor and disco lighting which can run off your ipod (at no charge, so no need for a DJ), it even has a large plasma TV to show your own photos or videos during the party. The bar will serve a selection of soft drinks (and alchol to over 18's if required). Choose from totally pre-paid, a paying bar, or a combination of the two. Food choices are on our BUFFET MENU page, they start from as little as £8.
THE ROFFEN SUITE:
The Roffen Suite is much larger and can take up to 200 guests, and as few as 40. The Suite has a fully installed disco and professional lighting rig as well as a dance floor and plenty of space. Seating is at banqueting tables which can be formal or informal.
This location is great if you have a lot of guests or if you would like a sit-down meal. This might be a good party idea for a mixed group of adults and 16 year olds.

HOW ABOUT DINNER IN MEDWAY'S BEST PRIVATE RESTAURANT?
For parties who would like to celebrate in the best restauraunt in Rochester you could consider a lunch or dinner for between 20 and 26 in our club restaurant.
Book for these numbers and you can have the restaurant privately. Take a look at our menus here - RESTAURANT MENUS. We do some excellent fixed price offers such as £25 for three courses including unlimited wine for adults and unlimited soft drinks for 16's. We also offer a two course menu for £10.
SECURITY AND SUPERVISION
If your numbers are large or if you don't intend to have too many adults present at the party we will provide an SIA Certified Doorman for professional supervision at a very moderate cost of £65. Your doorman will provide a smart door service ensuring only genuine guests are admitted and that if anyone is 18 and can show identity we can provide them with a wristband to allow them to buy alcoholic drinks.
COSTS OF A PARTY
The costs of a SWEET 16 at The Roffen depends very much on what day, how many guests, which room etc. As we won't get the normal income from food and drink as we do with adult parties then if you can hold the party on a quieter day such as a Sunday then our charges will be lower. MINIMUM NUMBER
Please do note that on prime days, Fridays and Saturdays, we do have minimum numbers and minimum food spends. If you cannot meet these simply move your event to Sunday or a weekday. See the full details at HIRE COSTS.
