How we make your day easier:
We offer a wide range of menus, flexible seating plans, a choice of tables layouts, both formal and informal, and comfortable upholstered chairs. We also provide personalised printed menus, floral table decorations, choice of table coverings and your choice of background music.
Why choose The Roffen:
The Roffen has been chosen to host many weddings over the years and we try very hard to make the organisation of your great day as happy and worry free as possible. We try and provide everything you could possibly need for an enjoyable day, all within our fixed prices. We provide special tables for all your presents and wedding cake, a silver cakestand and knife, silver candlesticks, printed colour menus, table decorations, background music, a private apartment for you to change your clothes (or for elderly guests to relax in). Overnight security for wedding presents... and much, much more.
We are unique:
In that for every wedding held in The Roffen Suite we provide you with a dedicated manager whose only duty that day is to attend to you and your guests. They are not part of the bar or waiting staff, they are there just to look after you. We have found that this extra service is worth its weight in gold to ensure your day goes smoothly. Even the little things are unique, for instance we allow confetti inside the Roffen Suite itself, and we allow candles and candelabra on the tables, it all makes a difference.

We can offer you a variety of room layouts with long tables, short tables, individual tables, you choose. Plus a great menu choice, take a look at our BUFFET MENUS and our DINNER MENUS. Photographs:
We have some lovely locations across the road on Jackson's Fields for photos. Sloping lawns and Cherry trees make a perfect setting. If the weather is unkind we have some lovely spots in the Suite itself, by the fireplace for instance.
The Bar:
A very long bar, plenty of staff, all drinks at pub prices (not inflated hotel prices). Lots of room, lots of choice. For smokers we provide a comfortable, heated, covered smoking terrace with river views just a flight of stairs away.
The Programme:
Our staff greet you on arrival. As your guests arrive they can start with a drink in the bar while your tables are hidden from view. When you are ready the curtains are drawn and everyone sits down for dinner, assisted by the table plan we produce for you. Our waitresses then serve your meal, or if it is a buffet your guests help themselves. We serve your drinks to the table and your wedding manager will be on hand to generally make sure everything is running smoothly.
The Evening Party:
Once the meal is over your guests make their way to the bar while our staff change your formal tables into an informal layout ready for the evening party. Your evening guests start to arrive, we turn the lights down, open up the music and the Suite becomes the perfect place for everyone to dance the night away.
